First-class relaxation in sumptuous surroundings, and a very attentive staff.
We were hugely impresssed with Cringletie House. We knew from the reviews that is would be good but have to say it far excelled that. Top class service and stylish country house styling throughout. Lots of rooms for you to use to read a book in etc and surrounded by ample grounds to take a relaxing walk around. Truly first class!
The staff could not do enough. They were attentive and looked only to your enjoyment of your time there. My wife is vegetarian and she did not like the vegetarian option on the menu. The staff made a lovely salad for her and served it in the residents bar. They were on hand at any time to help us and make our stay enjoyable. The public rooms are beautiful. The grounds are lovely with plenty of space to walk. We took our dog and the staff made a fuss over her and let her in to the bar area to sit with us at night. All in all we had a lovely stay.
If you are over 6 ft tall be prepared to duck in and out of the bathroom if you are in the classic rooms and at the top of the house. However it is part of the character of the house
L;ocation, staff, food, rooms, value
good attention to detail nice thick towels etc a very comfortable hotel will definately go back.
at afternoon tea rang bell for service and despite having made a reservation for 4.30 pm had to wait almost 15 minutes before tea appeared
Relaxing atmosphere, lovely rooms, roaring fire
Beautiful rooms, stunning scenery, free internet access 24x7 and extremely helpful staff.
No tea or coffee making facilities in individual rooms (although you can request at any time), everything else was great.
the location the atmosphere very friendly staff excellent food and very good all round stay.
a lovely warm welcome. Size of hotel really nice - nott too big. Room in the attic was quaint - views amazing. Very peaceful.
Breakfast was incredibly slow. They could do with offering pastries with the toast. Breakfast cereals very sparse in serving bowls. Just a tad on the sleepy side on their breakfast service.
Relaxing and comfortable. Excellent dining.Quiet and welcoming.
Would suggest all waiting on staff dress smart and uniforms are checked before service begins ie ironed and neat....plasters on necks do look unsightly and both myself and my wife did note that 1 of the waitresses wore a plaster to hide what we call a love bite which is supposed to be a sign of affection in young adults.... When red wine is poured it is most unusual to receive a full glass after the initial tasting, maybe a short course on this service would be appreciated by staff.
You are made welcome and feel comfortable as soon as you enter the hotel. My wife is disabled,we have stayed in many hotels offering facilities for wheelchair users but none have come near to the facilities we were delighted to find at Cringletie. The room was near perfect, among other things, it included two electric adjustable armchairs along with two electrically adjustable beds We are certainly expecting to return.
very comfortable and spacious room, which was well maintained.Staff very helpful and friendly.Breakfast excellent appears to have been cooked to order and not micro-zapped.
Good selection of whiskies, limited selection of beers. No big deal,I really have no complaints regarding our stay
Free, fast wifi; superb dinner; beautiful setting; very comfortable room and friendly/knowledgeable staff
No GSM reception in our room. Slow breakfast service
Attentive service and beautiful public rooms with log fires burning. Excellent cuisine and quality wine served in a grand dining room with elevated views over the grounds. Peaceful location with highland cattle grazing to the rear.
